Managing Director

ANDREW COSTA

Andrew, is a qualified commercial lawyer and started his career at Cliffe Dekker attorneys where he was a director and partner.

He left Cliffe Dekker to join Standard Bank. He was a member of the Investment Bank executive committee and was a director and head of the Debt Capital Markets and acting head of the Equity Capital Markets. He helped raise vast amounts of capital for sovereigns, supra-sovereigns, parastatals, corporates, and municipalities.

Andrew left Standard Bank to help list Accelerate Property Fund on the JSE. He was one of the key individuals responsible for the planning, structuring and listing of the Fund.

He was appointed Chief Operating Officer reporting directly to the chairman of the board. Andrew was responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the company (including establishing and overseeing the property management function as well as the asset management function) and compiling and implementing the short-, medium- and long-term strategy of the company. At its peak the company consisted of R14 billion of property assets throughout South Africa and Europe, covering approx. 650 000m2 of GLA and 1800 tenants.
